A triathlon format adventure race to raise money for ongoing Tropical Storm Irene relief efforts in the White River Valley of Vermont.
Race through the storm affected town of Rochester in the White River Valley of Vermont.
The 2012 race will start at 10am at Green Mountain Bicycles in Rochester, VT and end in Rochester at the gazebo in the town common. The event will include a 5-mile trail run, 6-mile paddle (canoe, kayak, SUP) on the White River, 12-mile mountain bike on some pavement, some dirt road, and some single track in the woods. There are some steep uphill climbs on the bike course, as well as some loose gravel and boulders. Helmets required for all cyclists and helmets and life vests required for all paddlers.
There will be a post-race party and award ceremony featuring locally brewed beer and local brick oven pizza baked on-site. Join the party whether participating in the race, watching, volunteering or just hanging out in town. Live local bands, food and beverages, Prizes for athletes, and fun and frivolity!
